paradise of Southern Mexico. Plunge into the aquamarine
waters of the western Caribbean between visits to the
stunning sites of Chichen Itza, Tulum, and Coba. Snorkel
down an underground river and swim among a myriad of
colorful fish in a tropical lagoon at the eco-archaeolgoical
parks of Xel-Ha and Xcaret. During this small, custom
tour, we stay far from the tourist crowd of Cancun and
tread lesser beaten paths to pursue a deeper knowledge
of ancient Maya lifeways. Wander through rustic fishing
villages and thatched homes in the jungle to purchase
famous honey and hand-made hammocks of contemporary
Maya. Rest on the powdery white sands of long beaches
after climbing the big pyramid at Coba or exploring
the amazing architecture of Chichen Itza. Enjoy the
regional pleasures of tropical drinks, fresh seafood,
