ARTours are small and casual--only 6 or 7 of us will visit famous prehistoric cave paintings that include Lascaux II, Font-de-Gaume, and Peche-Merle. Climb the ancient steps at Rocamadour before savoring an exquisite 5-course meal, overlooking your day's ascent. Visit the tempting artist colony at St. Cirq-le-Poppie. a 15th Century hilltop village renown for its golden hues and stunning views of the Lot and Cere river valleys. Then follow Matisse's footsteps to the Provence Coast for a week-end of ocean swimming, beach walks, and art talks that culminate in a traditional gastronomic feast overlooking the medieval architecture of Collioure.
